Tuning Forks as a Tool during Energy Healing

One of the Healing Tools I find beneficial to balance a client’s chakras during a Reiki Treatment, is Tuning Forks.   Just a little added energy work during a session.  Tuning Forks are a beautiful and powerful way to bring balance and healing to the chakras.   They work through sound therapy and vibration, helping to restore harmony in your body’s energy system.  Each chakra resonates at a different frequency, and tuning forks calibrated to these frequencies can be used to gently “tune” the energy center back into alignment.    

Chakra Tuning Fork Frequencies

Frequencies can vary slightly depending on the system, but these are the most commonly used.

1)      Root Chakra 194.18 Hz grounds you, stabilizes energy, supports physical health. Use near the base of the spine, hips, or feet.

2)      Sacral Chakra 210.42 Hz boosts creativity, sensuality, emotional balance.  Use around lower abdomen or pelvis.

3)      Solar Plexus Chakra 126.22 Hz strengthens confidence, motivation, and personal power. Use over stomach area.

4)      Heart Chakra 136.10 Hz opens compassion, love, and connection. Use at the center of the chest.

5)      Throat Chakra 141.27 Hz supports communication, expression, and truth.  Use around the throat and neck area.

6)      Third Eye Chakra 221.23 Hz enhances intuition, clarity, and inner vision.  Use between the eyebrows.

7)      Crown Chakra 172.06 Hz expands consciousness, spiritual connection, and peace.  Use just above the top of the head.

How to Use Tuning Forks for Chakra Healing

1)      Strike the tuning fork gently (with a mallet or rubber activator).

2)      Hold it a few inches above the chakra area or lightly touch it to the body.

3)      Let the vibration flow until the sounds fades out.

4)      Repeat 2-3 times per chakra or as needed.

5)      Move through all seven chakras for a full body energy tune-up.

Some practitioners also use crystal tuning forks (like quartz) to amplify the healing energy.  I like to lay the crystals on the body and touch the tuning fork to the crystal or slightly above it.  I also like to use a pendulum to check chakras before and after treatment.
